CLIENT: Hoyt Street Properties
CLIENT GOAL: Design a desirable mixed-use building that celebrates the sites location at the entrance to the Pearl District.
DESIGN RESPONSE: Designed using a sleek, modernist vocabulary, this residential, mixed-use tower features an iconic, glass-enclosed circulation space that becomes a beacon at night, marking the gateway to Portlands Pearl District. The 14-story building's L shaped plan embraces views of a park to the west and the river to the north. The 322,000 SF project includes a mixture of standard and loft condominiums totaling 176 units, with 2 floors of below grade parking. A stand-alone retail/restaurant pavilion anchors a plaza that will help activate the adjacent park. The project was sold out before construction was complete.
