CLIENT: Typhoon!
CLIENT GOAL: Create an updated, modern Thai restaurant interior.
DESIGN RESPONSE: A fresh take on Thai using an elegant blend of traditional Asian elements mixed with modern materials, furniture and lighting. Light colored, rough stone and dark, smooth hardwood floors are juxtaposed with soft, floor to ceiling curtains. Traditional Thai masks watch over patrons sitting in understated booths with clean, modern lines. Suspended lights shine like celestial bodies above the bar. Dark red fabrics – the symbol of good luck in Asian culture - are balanced by pale, neutral earth tones. The overall effect is both dynamic and soothing, the perfect balance of yin and yang.
